A Collection of Stunning 3D Glass Paintings

Over 20 years ago, Jean-Pierre Weill was struggling to make ends meet and needed to decide whether to stick with his dream of supporting his family as an artist or going out and getting a 9-5 job.  One morning, while he was sitting in his studio, he had a fantastic idea. He called his wife (who is also an artist) and told her about this idea – painting on multiple levels of glass. The next week, he took some pieces he made to a show, and sold out. Each painting includes several layers of glass separated by interior frames. The depth helps to create a game of hide-and-go-seek while the light and shadow create the illusion of movement.
